First part of the trail traversed through the shrubs and trees and crossed the wedgemount creek.  The second part of the trail was somewhat parallel to the creek and was interrupted by rock slides to be crossed.  The final part of the trail was on a steep, rocky, alpine meadows.  It was the most difficult part of the trail - be prepared.  Once you reached the top, the turquoise-coloured glory lake spread at your feet.

Going to cross the Wedgemount Creek
It was safe to do so.
Hiking boots and trekking poles were essential for the later part of the trail
The creek was less vigorous in September.
The river bed of other small creek dried up a lot.
Crossing rock slides
Looking back the valley when we were climbing up the mountain
Frost covering the top of the mountain
Spectacular water falls
Rugged mountain gully covered with snow
Wedgemount Lake at the toe of the glacier.  The red hut was a cabinet and the silver hut was a pit toilet.
There were a few camping sites around the hut.
It was so cool that the Glacier was at the door front of the hut.
After a long hike, it was time for lunch - buns, canned salmon, cheese, trail mix.
The hut was small.  Anyway it was quite comfortable.
Hey, what was up there?
A small attic

Good for three people.  It started snowing after taking this photo so there wasn't many photos
about the lake and the glacier.  Stay tune, we will return and bring you more photos.
