Place: Petgill Lake Location: On Sea-to-Sky Corridor, near Murrin Provincial Park Round Trip: 12 km (about 6 hours) Elevation gain: 640 M High point: 760 M Season: March to October Howe Sound Views and tranquil forest line the way to tiny jewel-like Petgill Lake. The lake takes its name from two engineers at Britannia Mine - Peterson and Gillmore. To get to the trailhead, follow Highway 99 north and turn left to the parking lot of Murrin Provincial Park. The trail begins on the east side of the highway for a 5 minute walk. You may camp at the lake in Summer time. |
